How did those trees get there?
Reached Mountain Lake
Almost back to the start.
Loocking back towards the start
Mountain Lake in all its glory
These trees, so well trimmed, so... "arranged", made a huge contrast to the other, wild, areas. That doesn't mean they were any less enjoyable.
Tending the boat
Tending the boat seemed just the perfect thing to do in this place, at this time. I don't know if he went on the lake or not, but I did envy him, just for the fact that he was not just in passing, like me.
I sat here for a bit, just enjoying the peacefulness. So close, and yet so different from the foggy, cold and loud ocean.
Quinault Lake shore
Again, the vegetation - right on the lake shore - is surprising. I start to believe the "rain forest" part...
Looking back on the lake
And that was it!
Towards the end
Getting closer to the end of the ride
Big fluffy cloud
There was sun, but also some clouds - and a bit chilly if they covered the sun
Obligatory bike picture
Bikes, water, forest, mountains, snow, blue sky - all in the same picture!
In Switzerland, even the boats are parked correctly!
Starting the bike ride
At the start of the bike ride, in Innerthal
This looked better in reality; the picture is not bad either, but not as good as the original
The light is very nice on these churches, and a bit of that is caputured
Sadly didn't capture the actual light, which was much nicer…
Reflections on the water
Another picture with tricky lighting; the blue is very strong and hard to balance against the rest
The colours were quite tricky here; the lamps are strong and I wasn't able to correct both the foreground and background
Another picture in which the background shore is quite sharp but the water is blurry because of the wind
The boats are not sharp due to wind; the lake shore is clear if you zoom in
